Rodney Smith

Rodney is a law enforcement supervisor with over twenty-two (22) years of active experience as a patrol officer and investigator.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration.  Rodney is the first law enforcement officer in the United States that has completed and holds certification as a SCAnS Trainer. He has received extensive training in courses involving body language, elicitation, statement analysis, micro expressions, face reading, and hypnosis.  In addition, he is also a polygraph examiner and a criminal justice adjunct instructor.

Rodney has been featured as a guest on CourtTV as a body language expert analyzing the behavior of individuals in several high-profile court cases and is the author of a body language book entitled “I Can See What Your Body is Saying: An Introduction to Micro Expressions and Body Language and Their Energetic Connections.” He is also a TEDx speaker as well as a TEDx organizer.

His extensive training, education, experience, and practice of nonverbal communication has made him an expert and consultant to law enforcement officials, college students, human resources personnel, entrepreneurs, and others interested in learning about human behavior.
